Tobacco On Trial

If you’re planning to cross the mall, by car or on foot, be aware that there will be a parade celebrating the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian. Starting at 9 AM, some 20,000 American Indians will be marching in full regalia from the Congress end of the Mall down to the new museum at 4th street and Independence (next to the Air and Space museum). That tobacco smell in the air will no doubt be ceremonial.
