Latest development in from Gene: Donald Hoel paused while testifying on CTR Special Projects of potential benefit to the industry. The silence stretched long enough that Judge Kessler came down from the bench and held him, asking if he was alright. He responded that he wasn’t feeling too well, and Kessler had the courtroom cleared for privacy.

Hoel had been asked at the beginning of deposition if he was taking any medication, and he replied that he was only taking some antihistamines. Defense Counsel said he had been having leg difficulty yesterday.

Update: Hoel is currently laid out on the floor of the courtroom, and an ambulance is on its way to take him to Washington Hospital Center.

Update: The paramedics have wheeled him out. He was sitting up, and gave a small wave while leaving. Judge Kessler wants everyone back in the courtroom at 11:15 am.
